Year In Review

As 2024 comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the incredible accomplishments we’ve achieved together with you – our amazing community. This year, Hometown supported over 223,000 events, with our team attending over 400 events across the country. Your dedication inspires us daily, and we’re excited to continue making every occasion unforgettable. Here’s a look at our top moments of the year.

First Quarter

This year, we introduced the Hometown Spotlight, a recognition program designed to celebrate and share the stories of the incredible education professionals we’re honored to work with. By sharing these stories, we highlight the passion and impact these individuals  bring to their communities. Thank you for allowing us to celebrate your achievements and to be a part of your home town. 

Second Quarter

We partnered with Dave Campbell’s Texas Football to recognize outstanding athletic secretaries across the state of Texas. Venessa Tover was voted the DCTF Secretary of the Year, selected from a pool of 12 nominees statewide. This recognition highlights her exceptional leadership and dedication to supporting the athletic community.

PRODUCT INNOVATIONS

This year, we unveiled our new offline scanning feature, designed to provide a reliable event check-in experience even in areas with limited or inconsistent internet access. This enhancement ensures seamless connectivity, allowing schools and organizations to keep the gate lines moving, regardless of network conditions. Community Impact Day:  Our 2nd Annual Community Impact Day was a huge success! Hometown employees volunteered across the country, taking part in activities like organizing sports equipment, packing emergency boxes, restocking food pantries, donating blood, and more. It was a day full of meaningful service, where our team came together to support local hospitals, schools, and community members in need.

Third Quarter

Automated Email Reports: Our product team worked hard to expand reporting capabilities, allowing schools to easily track event performance, revenue, and key metrics through automated email reports, delivering valuable insights with ease.

Conferences Attended: Hometown proudly attended 51 conferences across the country, connecting with Athletic Directors, administrators, and association partners to strengthen relationships, gather feedback, and stay ahead of trends in event management and ticketing.

Fourth Quarter

Top 10 EdTech Award Winner: Hometown was named a Top 10 EdTech Award winner, recognizing our innovative approach to transforming event ticketing and fan engagement for schools.

Customer Referral Program: We launched our Customer Referral Program, rewarding loyal clients for referring Hometown to others and strengthening the community we’ve built together.

Hometown + Schoolfundr: In December, we announced Hometown Ticketing and Schoolfundr united as Hometown – coming together with a shared mission to empower schools with the resources needed to support extracurricular programs, strengthen community connections, and generate the funds that create lasting impact for students.

National Athletic Directors Conference:

We took the show floor to showcase our latest innovations in event management and fee-free solutions designed for schools.. The conference gave us the opportunity to connect with Athletic Directors from across the country, share best practices, and discuss how our platform is helping schools create memorable experiences for their community.
